Sales of non-fungible tokens fell by 20% to $58.3 million as the price of Bitcoin struggled at $70,000

The NFT market recorded sales of $58.34 million last week, a decrease of 20.34% from the previous period.

The number of buyers of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) rose by 21.97% to 296,018, while the number of sellers jumped by 24.63% to 270,495. Transaction volume decreased by 4.33% to 660,674.

The cryptocurrency market as a whole has been significantly impacted by the decline in Bitcoin's value. Bitcoin fell by 1.91% to around $70,000, while Ethereum's price dropped by 4.17% to around $2,000.

The global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies currently stands at $2.41 trillion, down from $2.83 trillion last week. This market downturn continues to put pressure on the NFT sector, with weekly trading volume declining for the second consecutive week.

 

Ethereum leads the list with $34.9 million despite a decline

Ethereum continued to dominate all blockchains with $34.97 million in NFT sales, a 23.63% decrease over the seven-day period.

The network attracted 33,663 buyers, a 20.44% increase from the previous week. Total Ethereum trading volume reached $2.91 million during this period.

Bitcoin ranked second among blockchains with $4.66 million in sales, a 32.81% decrease compared to the previous week. The network attracted 12,770 buyers, a 17.10% increase despite the decline in sales.

Base ranked third with sales of $4.14 million, up 8.46%, and attracted 83,552 buyers, up 6.09%.

Flying Tulip PUT shares maintained their lead, while CryptoPunks saw a significant increase

The Flying Tulip PUT token on the Ethereum platform retained its top position in the cryptocurrency pool rankings, recording sales of $11.41 million, a sharp decrease of 49.06% compared to the previous week. The pool processed 530 transactions from 259 buyers.

The CryptoPunks platform on the Ethereum network ranked second with sales of $4.71 million, marking a 146.56% increase over the week after a 52.35% decrease the previous week.

The top-performing group completed 69 transactions from 44 buyers, with both metrics more than doubling weekly.

A Base Group ranked third with $2.11 million in sales, a 15.82% increase. Pudgy Penguins Group saw $2.09 million in sales, a 6.96% decrease, while Bored Ape Yacht Club Group achieved $1.90 million in sales, a 59.79% increase.

TokenVestingPlans on Ethereum ranked sixth with $1.65 million, a 67.85% increase, while Guild of Guardians Heroes rounded out the top seven with $1.50 million, a 22.82% decrease.
